AUTHOR'S POV
The grand halls of the Raghuvanshi mansion echoed with soft murmurs as the family gathered under the shimmering chandeliers. The weight of tradition and legacy seemed to rest upon every carved pillar and gilded arch, as though the walls themselves carried centuries of decisions that had shaped their dynasty.
Seated at the head, Vasundhara Raghuvanshi let her calm yet authoritative voice settle the room.
βI believe Kiara Rawal is the right choice for our Yugant,β she declared, her gaze firm. βShe is graceful, composed, and worthy of being queen.β
Prabhakarβs brows furrowed. βAre you certain she is suitable for such a place? The crown demands more than charm.β
Vasundharaβs lips curved in quiet certainty. βYes, I am sure.β
Vidya leaned forward with a smile, her words flowing in support. βI have met her too. She has the poise and strength a queen must carry.β
Amrita clasped her hands gently. βIf Ma has chosen her, there must be something truly special about the girl.β
Prabhakar gave a reluctant nod. βAfter all, Vasundhara has the right to decide for her grandson.β
One by one, voices joined in agreement.
Pranay and Meenakshi echoing their approval with measured smiles. Yet, across the room, not all shared the same ease.
Pratap sat in silence, his thoughts clouded. He did not like the idea, but he knew his voice would only be a whisper against the tide of agreement.
Mahika and Mihir exchanged brief glances, their discontent hidden behind composed expressions.
At last, Prabhakar raised his hand, his voice closing the discussion.
βThen we shall wait for Yugant. This decision concerns him mostβ¦ and it is he who must speak.β
The air grew heavy with anticipation. In the Raghuvanshi mansion, choices were rarely simple.
The soft creak of the heavy wooden doors broke the silence.
All eyes turned as Yugant stepped into the hall, his presence commanding without effort, the aura of a man born to rule.
His stride was measured, his expression unreadable, yet the weight of expectation lingered in the air like an unspoken decree.
Prabhakar straightened in his chair. βYugant, we were discussing your future.β
Vasundharaβs gaze rested on her grandson, calm but firm. βWe believe Kiara Rawal would be the right choice for you.β
For a fleeting moment, Yugantβs eyes darkened, as though he was weighing a storm within. Then, with a quiet exhale, he inclined his head.
βIf you all have chosen her,β he said evenly, his voice low yet steady, βthen I have no reason to disagree. You may proceed with the arrangements.β
Relief rippled through the family.
Meenakshi and Amrita exchanged content smiles, while Prabhakar nodded, satisfied that harmony prevailed.
Vasundharaβs lips curved faintly, victory concealed beneath her composed demeanor.
But not every heart celebrated.
Pratapβs jaw tightened, his silence sharper than any protest.
Mahika and Mihir exchanged another fleeting glance, knowing well that acceptance did not always mean desire.
And as Yugant lowered himself into his seat, the chandeliers above glimmered like watchful eyes, witnesses to a choice that seemed too smooth, too sudden.
Beneath the calm words and formal nods, something restless stirred in the silence of the Raghuvanshi mansion.
The family thought the matter was settled. But fate was only just beginning to turn its wheelsβ¦
